Working through your grief can be a painful process, but it is necessary to ensure your future emotional and physical well-being. We, at Enlightenment Counseling, believe that if you do not grieve at the time of death, or shortly after, the grief may stay bottled up inside you. This can cause emotional problems or physical illness later on. Life events triggering grief, and in most instances, traumatic grief:
• Loss of spouse or partner
• Loss of a child
• Loss of a parent, sibling or beloved relative
• Experiencing the suffering, decline and death of a loved one
• Illness and/or disability
• Separation
• Divorce
• Loss of your job
