Get to know Betsy Rose Rodriguez, LMHC
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology as well as a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling with a Specialization in Substance Abuse Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am a licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida (MH18315) and a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA). I’m a counselor and therapist in the state of Florida with specializations in helping both couples and individuals mend broken relationships and overcome issues such as: chronic stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, postpartum depression, trauma, marital difficulties, life transitions, decreased self-esteem, anger management, stress management, dual-diagnosed (substance abuse and a mental illness) and symptoms of depression, or other challenges with their personal life.

It's an incredible blessing for me to be a part of a person or couple's journey to their healing and happiness. When someone comes in feeling like their life is completely falling apart, and they leave our session feeling hopeful and with a fresh perspective, it’s been a great day for me. I see people when they are usually at their most vulnerable and it is an honor for me to be able to help them navigate through their journey of healing and empowerment.

I’m passionate about helping others find their emotional freedom and to live the abundant quality of life they were designed to have with their loved ones. My greatest pleasure is to be able to help you feel empowered, restore hope, and allow you to take back your life. I personally have tremendous respect for all individuals that have chosen to enter therapy and see this choice as making a personal investment in your own future. As we explore together what is most distressful in your life, I will assist you by guiding and teaching you during the therapeutic process how to apply healthy coping skills to your situation. Whether it be struggling with a complex relationship, battling addiction, decreased mental stability or everyday life struggles, I will use my years of expertise and training to facilitate your recovery/healing.

We understand that no two individuals are the same. For that reason, I will draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques to meet your own specific and unique needs. My interventions are individually tailored depending on your personality, life experiences, living environment, and degree of acculturation. I modify my approach to fit YOUR needs but will always provide you with unconditional positive affirmation and acceptance. I will provide an open, non-judgmental place for you to fully express your thoughts and feelings through our sessions. It’s important for me to be completely authentic and genuine with all of my clients as that is one of my most desirable personality traits and why many of my clients delight in our deep yet productive sessions. Looking forward to meeting with you at our next session!

Fun Facts about ME:I was born in New Jersey but raise in South Florida. I’m bilingual, fluent in both English and Spanish. When I’m not in sessions, you can find me hanging out with my husband of over 17 years, my 5 boys (yes 5 never a dull moment) and a few furry ones we call Frenchies. So, I can relate to a busy daily lifestyle and its chaotic moments, which I refer to as “blessings in disguise”. I love to laugh and am very passionate about my family. My Christian faith is strong and, although I will always refer to myself as a work in progress, I actively approach my faith journey with intent and with an open heart. Without His grace and hand on my life, I am certain I would not be where I am today. I enjoy creating, traveling, playing games with the family, listening to music, reading my bible, and connecting with others in the community.
